Coming out of Alabama, Forrest was ready to shine in the pro leagues. Like a lot of prospects since the season 15 class of the ISFL, his first opportunity to show what he was made of was the Prospect Bowl. The story of that bowl at the running back position was Forrest vs Terry “The Candyman” Taffy. While Forrest was electric, the Central Grizzlies offense led by Gimmy Jarropolo frequently stalled out, likely due to his passes being so accurate and thrown with such force that his receivers failed to catch them. What this meant was the Forrest had a lot of yards, a good average, but didn’t have the touchdowns that the Candyman was putting up. A back and forth effort between the two, Taffy ultimately won the prospect bowl MVP. Upset at the result and recognizing it came due to his inability to find the end zone, Forrest worked on bulking up and improving his ball carrier vision in the red zone for his DSFL debut. Tying the touchdown in his first DSFL season and breaking it in his second (leading to him taking home the DSFL RBotY and DSFL MVP in S15), that work clearly paid off. Had it not been for that initial disappointment, Forrest would likely not have had the nose for the endzone he has held throughout his career.
