Yellowknife, NWT. We've all heard the stories about the unforgiving weather and what these players have to put up with. Anybody who was here last year has adapted and more than likely gained about 14 pounds to help pad themselves in the brutal cold. Unless you had the luxury of playing in Yellowknife last year like a certain #1 draft pick, you knew exactly what to expect. Luke Chunk didn't. Chunk who is a linebacker out of Louisiana , born in Houston Texas showed up for the first day of mandatory training camps. Luke Chunk who had only heard of Canada by name, had never visited here but he assumed it wouldn't be America's answer to the Artic. Chunk managed to get frostbite, thankfully it was only first degree frostbite. Chunk was told that in order to prevent damage to his newly damaged index finger (left hand) he would have to wear a glove the rest of the season (similar to Giant's Defensive End Jason Pierre Paul) or risk amputation. Chunk who is a natural joker, has taken this setback in his stride. He can often be seen chasing various players around the locker room with his glove, which recently has been vandalized and a crudely written "MR SOCKO" message appears on the top.
