I think my player's welcome to the league moment came during the Ultimini game of season 21. Fawn was a part of the Coyotes at that time, and though they had had a terrific regular season, there had been one opponent who stuck out to them as particularly challenging: the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers. The Buccaneers had won both of their meetings prior to the Ultimini, so while there was some optimism in the KC locker room, no one could forget how tough the Bucs had been in their previous matchups. Then, during the game, it was a lot more of the same. The Bucs had a huge number of send downs on their squad that season, so it wasn't difficult to understand why the Coyotes and the rest of the league were having difficulty. Fawn performed actually very well in that game, as he managed to make 11 tackles and forced a fumble. The team however ultimately lost 30-10 in what was a blowout loss. At that moment, Fawn realized that he wasn't the star recruit on his high school team anymore or even the face of the defense like he was in college. Instead, he was just another professional athlete, and nothing he was going to get would come easily to him.
