I don't get interceptions. Like at all. I'm a semi-max earner - I've missed a bit of TPE here and there because I've been a bit busy but I'm still only about 25 to 30 or so behind the top of the class. I figured that I'd be producing similarly to other DBs in my class. Similar earning, similar build at this point. You'd assume similar stats. You'd assume wrong. The meme when I got drafted by the Austin Copperheads was that I'd take Dermot Lavelle Jr. out back and put his old corner that hadn't ever really produced like the highest earner of all time down. Instead I've become the new Dermot while he's had a career renaissance. This season he has a league leading 6 interceptions along with 19 PDs - good for fourth in the league. How about Colt Mendoza? A solid 1 interception and 9 PDs. How about last season? Dermot was tied for second in the league with 5 interceptions and had 15 PDs to go along with it. How about Mendoza? 1 pick and 12 PDs. These are literally career numbers for Dermot - the season before Mendoza started playing for Austin he was a middle of the pack CB with 3 interceptions and 14 PDs. With Mendoza he's the best CB in the league while Mendoza is almost the worst. Whats the welcome to the league moment here? That we're stuck with team legend Dermot and I can't take him out back and put him down yet.
