For me the whole idea of trading cards is useless. Why would i want to burn money just to get a few pixels? I am not a high earner in the league. I took a min contract to help out my team and giving them the opportunity to go chase free agents. All to help my team improve our chances on having a successful season. Although i have to admit, that you can argue if Honolulu is a good team (damn Crunk ratings).
I get the idea of Dotts though. There are members sitting at 200 Mill and more in their bank and other users may get envious of them. But please remember: There is a reason for that. The users who accumulated that much mones didn't get that by sitting around doing nothing. They invested time and effort to keep the league going and should be compensated therefore.
However, I suggest, that due to the fact that it IS a sim league and you create players, there should be a rule, that not the total bank account should be useable to invest in the new player. I would establish percentual fee like a "rich tax", that comes into place when the bank account is above a certain threshold at the point of recreation. This would limit the money in the leagues economy while still providing the luxury of having a bit of a cushion for recreates.
