Forum activity is the only way you can create a player and continue to improve that player. I'm not sure how that's meaningless.
If you are 250 TPE and don't have ISFL aspirations, additional TPE doesn't improve your player at all.
It's not the intention and most people won't use it that way but I don't see a problem with some people just wanting to be a DSFL starter for a while.
