1. Agents are not allowed to have any affiliations with teams in the ISFL or DSFL, nor have any players in the ISFL or DSFL.
I whole heartedly agree 100% with this rule. If I kept my player for the Liberty and one of my clients is a FA that the Liberty are interested in. What would stop me from telling my client to sign with the Liberty? There's a major conflict of interest there.
3. Each agent must have a license from the Head Office to act as an agent. License fee is $10mil per season (Ultimus to Ultimus).
10 Mill a season makes it so if you want to be an agent you're serious about it and you're not half assing it. HO also waived all the money making penalties that there used to be. Media was paid normally, i could collect Twitter pay. The only rules I had to abide by was the 10 mill a season which tbh if youre in the league for 5 seasons or 1 full year you should be able to cover atleast 1 season before having to write media.
6. Agents must be in the league for 5 full seasons prior to becoming an agent.
This rule I also agree needs to be in place. The difference between league jobs and an Agent is if you have a league job then you have a boss or whatever. If you need help you have someone to guide you. As an Agent you have your clients trusting that you know what you're doing and all the trust they have to base off is youre experience. As an agent you really don't have anyone to go to for help or advice on this since you're doing it solo.
I personally enjoyed being an agent during the offseason however, during the season sucked because I had nothing to do. The original rules that were set in place I feel like was to stop 1 certain person from being an agent. Once he stopped no one really attempted it again. When I went to Bex and HO about it they did a great job by making it doable by waiving all those stupid rules that used to be in place. I honestly think Agents should be a bigger part of the league to help rookies out but the rules that are in place right now are in place for a reason and I feel like they're necessary.
my issue with the money thing is the bar is a little too high for someone to get into agency if they don’t have a player
I think things like team loyalty’s can be reworked into an agent can’t bring his clients into his team or something similar (this is off the top of my head)
