The Draft is done. Contracts have been signed. It’s time to talk about the upcoming start of the 2nd season in the NSFL. Today we will be focusing on the Legion’s very first training camp, where the sophomores had reserved a special welcome to the new batch of rookies.

Early on, the rookies were welcomed to the usual pranks of shaving cream in their shoes, itching powder in their equipment. Things escalated when serial prankster, Alexandre LeClair, locked rookie WR Ryan Lecavelier in the bathrooms and turning off the lights. The coaches were not amused and sent the whole team on a “run until you drop” in the sweltering heat of the Vegas sun.

Despite that, a few rookies stood out from the pack when actual practice began, Kyle Cobb, the first ever Legion draft pick at 41st Overall, has shown his speed and agility early on, often running the ball for 30+ yards. DE Thaddeus Bullard struggled a bit at the beginning but came into his own as practice went on, even handing out some solid pancaked to some of the older players. Lastly, CB Leon Morgan was probably the player who surprised us the most, picking off Stormblessed a couple of times at the very end of the training session.

It was an overall very positive first day of training for the Legion.
