As the only non rookie of the sabercats defensive line, it's my job to get the three new recruits in to shape as quickly as possible. We ended up drafting 3 defensive ends, however one of them is a bit bigger and stronger so he will probably have to sub in for the right defensive tackle. We immediately get in to drills and these guys are fairly talented. We practice hand drills and attacking on dummies to ensure the technique of the new recruits isn't off. After a few days of practicing this, it's time to play some scrimmage against the offensive linemen. Now this is where things get really interesting, we have a veteran OL and a veteran DT and everyone else is rookies. Dan and Ben end up getting the better of the rookies quite frequently but the most important thing is both of them are showing their respective lines on how to handle the situations. It's quite the learning curve, but it looks like it will pay off.Chidubem Konkwo and Enchilada Charlton are showing great promise so far. They are definitely having trouble dealing with Ben Longshaw and Vincent sharpei. Practice makes perfect and the offensive and defensive lines for the sabercats were heavily focused in the season 2 draft.
