he Liberty's first ever team practice yesterday was very revealing for the media. QB Jameis Christ was in his element as he zipped passes to Fox North, Damien Kroetch, Hunter Mason, Paul DiMirio, Omar Wright, and, unfortunately for him, Tyler Oles, Kristoffer O'Sullivan, and Lincoln Jefferson. Christ, who uses a notorious gunslinger playing style, delighted in his new receiving group: North, who showcased his 80.1 speed, Kroetch, who boasted 78 speed, and DiMirio, who's 73 speed is only 7 away from the max. This allowed Christ to unleash his 75 rated arm. O'Sullivan, Oles, and Jefferson were forced to race down the field as the quarterback released deep bomb after deep bomb.
Meanwhile, the running game lit up the field as the tried-and-true Omar Wright Jr. raced through gaps left, right and center. Occasionally, he'd run downfield, drawing the safeties with him and opening up gaps for the tight end, DiMirio. Christ knew when to throw and where to throw it, and DiMirio caught many passes just at the right time.
On defense, things weren't as bleak as they sounded. Perry Tucker, who recently switched from TE to OLB, performed well, using his 80 speed to escape several blocks from LT Micah Hendrix. SS Lincoln Jefferson was lights out at his new position as well, notching three interceptions and a sack. The rest of the secondary was quite good as well, with Oles and O'Sullivan holding their own against the talented receiver duo of North and Kroetch.
All in all, if you hadn't seen the logos on the front of these jerseys, you wouldn't have guessed they were expansion teams.
