Bradley was far too excited to sleep. Today had been a whirlwind of activity. College was easy - Brad would stay up way too late, eat whatever he wanted, and sometimes slack off during practice.
This was far different: he actually had to try. The other rookies weren't like his college buddies. They were there to play hard and make a name for themselves. Brad needed to step up his game, and he was glad for it.
Brad was up and ready for practice at 6am. Coach had him running drills as soon as he hit the field. As the day wore on, he realized that things had really changed for him. Brad immediately wanted to work more on his run blocking skills. He found himself falling short far too often during practice.
He was quite happy that he could commiserate with some of his teammates though. It was good to see that they too felt they were in a whole new world. Perhaps some friendships could be created. They always did well for Brad when it came to getting into the team spirit.
Regardless of how that works out though, Brad knew that this was the right place for him. He is going to love living in Philly.
