If a grader makes a mistake and you would like it corrected, message the grader. The grader can also help you with resources to improve quality of work if you'd like.
My main issue with the previous system was as follows. People could submit extremely low effort work and make 2.6 Million dollars. They would receive a warning, but the would still receive pay. This system could lead to major abuse. The penalties on this system are just more severe to remove the possibility of abuse.
I may be remembering this incorrectly, but didn't you make the "old" system?
So you:
- take over from the disaster warning of the last guy
- find a decent solution that encourages progress and implement it
- bend to the voices of the few who suggest problems instead of serving the interest of the many EVEN though you had fair and decent penalties for the abusers
- on the eve of the season - after most rookies have signed contracts - completely undo all the work you've done and alienate the best, the worst, and the most mediocre graphic makers this site has by: lowering the pay for the same work, increasing subjectivity in grading and discourage people like me from creating graphics because I'm not sure i'll measure up to your arbitrary standards.
Did I get that timeline right?
And to respond to an above post: NO I DON'T THINK HIGHLY OF MY WORK which is part of the issue. Now I'm to be expected to be held to a higher standard, for less money, all the while being concerned that I won't even GET the reduced pay due to someone else - who may or may not know anything about a completely subjective medium - doesn't like what I do. How is that encouraging, helpful or welcoming at all? That's the exact opposite. I agree with Enig. This change brings the pain to the graphics community of this site; both established and new.
