So we’re two weeks into the new ISFL season and (at this point) about to start week one for the DSFL. I love watching the cool little dots as much as everyone else, but I realized earlier that I was sitting in relative silence. Aside from some super quiet ambient music, there was no noise. When the games are done, the sim person just quietly states what the score ended up being. I am of the opinion that what we need for our games is a sports announcer! WE NEED SOME HYPE! We need someone to match the energy levels that I see on the discord channels during the game; people firing off non-stop in all caps. Now obviously the individual plays move way too fast to call each one (and I feel like I speak for a lot of people when I say I like how fast the sim games go). However, even just calling out one or two crazy things that are happening would be awesome. Give some crazy plays some attention. If a rookie does something wild, I’m sure they would be stoked to hear their name called out. If anyone doesn’t like the announcing, they can mute it like I’m sure some people already do with the music. No offense intended towards the sim broadcasters obviously, just want to see some ENERGY!
