Currently the Liberty have a slim chance of making the playoffs. Unfortunately, our destiny is not in our hands, and we need losses from a couple of the teams above us in order for us to steal the last spot. This is disappointing, but our future is looking bright. Our offense has certainly not been an issue this season. Brock Pheonix is a fantastic quarterback, our wide recievers are fantastic, and we added Captain Rogers to back up Sam Torensen this season. Our main problem is our defense. Upper management did a great job at addressing these needs in the last draft. We have active users in a variety of positions on defense now, but we are all still quite young. The challenge is to keep these players active. If we’re able to, our greatest weakness will potentially become our greatest strength. If we are able to keep some veterans around a bit longer as our defense begins to grow, we could potentially find a sweet spot of high TPE players on both sides of the ball. Either way, we still need to prepare for the inevitable, and Pheonix won’t be around forever. It would probably be best for us to find a quarterback to start earning in the second string. Although the Liberty probably won’t make the playoffs this year, this season fared much better than the last one, and I foresee that growth continuing into the next season.
