The San Jose Sabercats are poised to defend their title of ultimus champions, though they'll have to go through a great Orange County team to even make the championship game. The sabercats are once again led by one of the best defenses in the league, though they're prone to give up huge gains through the air every now and then, meaning they give up more points than you'd expect from a top tier defense. Another downside you could point out is that they don't really force many turnovers, but that could be explained by a cornerback group that's still really young. On offense, they are one of the best rushing offenses in the league, led by Jamar Lackson, which might explain why they have one of the worst passing offenses in the league, with only one receiver in the top 20 in receiving yards and touchdowns, though they do a good job of maintaining possession and limiting turnovers.
San Jose should be expected to force teams to pass by shutting down the run game, while hopping they can hold the big plays to a minimum, while the opposite is true on offense, where they should be expected to run their offense through Jamar Lackson, with Monty Jack making some plays on his legs as well, whilst also making safe throws to keep offensive drives alive.
