Well, the regular season for season 25 is soon coming to an end on Friday. Unfortunately, the Yellowknife Wraiths have already been eliminated from the playoffs. This means no extra games for us, no celebrations, just a longer offseason for us to figure out what went wrong and what we need to differently. The Wraiths of Yellowknife have failed to make it to the postseason in back to back years since they won it all in season 23 and are definitely looking to right the ship. Some would say it is growing pains with all the new players getting their feet under them after the wave of retirements following season 23. But the statistics show that the offence is just mediocre and that their defense is one of the worst in the league. Now for areas of improvement. Let us start with the obvious, shall we? Both Yellowknife's rushing offence and passing defense rank dead last in not only their conference, but last in the league as well. If you want to have any success in this league, you need to be able to grind it out on the ground with the football when you've got the lead and you need to keep the other team from making big plays through the air. Look for Yellowknife to make some moves on both sides of the ball this offseason.
