Coming into season 25, the London Royals were still in celebration mode after bringing home the first championship in franchise history, outlasting the Norfolk Seawolves 24-17 in the S24 Ultimini. As the team celebrated though, leadership immediately redirected their focus to preparations for the new season. With call ups hitting the Royals harder than almost every other DSFL team, they knew the upcoming draft would be extremely important on the quest to repeat. Pick by pick though, the Royals plugged active players into the holes in their roster.
Early in the season, the offense seemed to be the clear strength of the Royals. They often came out guns blazing, putting up points fast and often. After stumbling in a couple of early games though, the Royals were able to shift to a more balanced approach and rip off a huge win streak to put themselves at the top of a very competitive conference. As the season progressed though, the Royals defense quickly improved and began to rival the offense for the most talented group.
With a playoff berth secured, the Royals are now focused on securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs. They would love nothing more than to have the London fans there with them to celebrate a second Ultimini championship.
