With the regular season officially over, the Orange County Otters stand atop the American Simulation Football Conference with their record of eleven wins and five losses. From this point onwards, the Otters will be looking to rest up and enjoy their first round bye, and then push forward to the Ultimus, and hopefully the first Ultimus trophy of Suleiman Ramza’s young career. To look at how the Otters got to this position, one would be remiss to not downplay the effect of the Orange County defence. Despite the last few weeks, where unfortunately some snafus have sent an offensive lineman out to play defence, at the peak of their performance, the Otters defence has been able to greatly stifle the efforts of other teams, ranking second in points allowed. What is more is that there are stars on the line and on the secondary. Tackle Rapid Eagle and rookie tackle Goat Tank have been stacking sacks upon sacks upon sacks, en route to providing the scariest line in the entire league. Our secondary features the likes of Korrin Abernathy, Prince Vegeta, Tyrone Biggums and Lord Beerus have shut down some incredibly potent offences. Prince Vegeta in particular had one of the greatest performances in league history in the week four performance against the Arizona Outlaws, having three interceptions and returning two of them for touchdowns. Ultimately, this defence is one of the most potent the league has seen and they will be the catalyst for Orange County’s post season success.
