The Chicago butchers probably expected to win more than 8 games this season but they’re still in the playoffs, so you won’t hear any complaining. They’ve already beaten Colorado this season but playing them at home is going to be tough. I think the window is very much open for Chicago, but this is going to be another shallow run. Even if they get through Colorado, the Sailfish have been tough for them this season. Frost does not suck at team building. If Mario Von Pebbles wasn’t taken in the expansion draft, I think Chicago would have been terrifying off the line. They’re still solid on defense, but that was a big loss for them. I think another good draft and call-ups, and perhaps free agency puts Chicago over the top right as Colorado’s window closes. Overall, I’m happy and the teammates I’ve talked to are feeling really good about where the team is. I think Chicago gets an Ultimus before most of the S22 class retires. Just getting that championship banner hung up in Chicago would be an incredible feat considering the state of the team before Muford and Bayley took over. This is definitely a premier destination for new players looking to compete right away and veterans to chase rings.
