We did it. We finally did it. The Arizona Outlaws are going to the playoffs!
On a personal level, it was a so-so year for Pete “Plop” Miller; he finished the year with 40 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 9 sacks. However, he had some truly terrible games, including multiple one tackles performances.
But that is a distant second in terms of Miller’s priorities. At 9-7, the Outlaws are going to the playoffs for the first time in his career. The year started off rough with losses at New Orleans and San Jose. After a morale-boosting win against New York, Arizona dropped a crucial game at home against Orange County. Three straight wins in weeks 5, 6, and 7 got them back on track. A few more up and down weeks had the Outlaws looking at a playoff spot with 3 games to go.
Morale was low after a loss at Austin, and the Outlaws needed some help. After a nail biter win over New Orleans, Arizona beat down Honolulu in the final game of the season. They dominated in all facets of the game. Jay Cue threw for 300 yards and 2 touchdowns. Hanyadi had 2 TDs on the ground and 1 through the air. 5Js added 4 extra points and 4 FGs. Likely DPotY Galf Wilf had 8 tackles, 1 sack, 2 PDs, and 1 INT. The entire team dominated.
And what did that get them? PLAYOFFS! And, no, we’re not kidding you.
