There is no question who the otters are gearing up to face: the outlaws. Last season the otters and the outlaws famously both achieved a record of nine and five, but the outlaws had the edge in the head to head record. For the semifinals conference championship game, the outlaws won a slight victory, even as the otters collapsed in the endgame.
This season, the Otters are back baby. With a retooled secondary, new defense, and upgraded offensive line, the Otters are ready to roll over the NSFL for the second inaugural season. This season may have its ups and downs, however the chaos of the offseason will show the superior Otters brainpower in the offseason matters.
Week three against the outlaws, while again an away game for the Otters, will be the perfect opportunity to test the Otters powerful ground game plowing furrows into the blitzing Outlaws defense. Boss in the first season was plagued by interceptions, particularly by the outlaws secondary. Time will tell if the Otters outside skill receivers will be up to the task of securing the ball against the rough Outlaws corners and safeties. While unique strategies are being used in these exploratory games, an away game at the Outlaws little sandbox is always a fun game.
