18) Choose your favorite non-playoffs game of this season, whether your own team or another. Explain what was so special and why the winner ultimately came out victorious, including key players and moments.
For the Dallas Birddogs, there were no playoff games this season... and every win could be considered a special one because they came so few and far between. The team struggled to get momentum and was often plagued with poor sim luck in combination with call-up woes, resulting in several close match-ups that ultimately added another L to the board. In the second half of the season they managed just four wins.
If I had to pick just one of those games as a “favorite”, I think I would choose week 8 against the Minnesota Grey Ducks. While it was not the most flashy win, it was nonetheless a satisfying one as the rivalry with Minnesota seemed to be fierce this year. Cobra Kai had another amazing game, recording 121 yards over 27 attempts and a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems also notched a touchdown in the backfield committee early in the game.
Caliban had one of his better showings of the season, throwing 0 interceptions (which was a relief in itself given that he led the league with 17 on the season) and got plenty of support from his receivers Smith and Callous, who each logged over 72 yards during the game. The defense played good as well, with Leaking leading the game in tackles again, while Mann, Slammu, Kirkland, Berto, and Francis each found numerous ways to chip in against the Ducks offense.
The game ended 23-7 in favour of the Birddogs.

28) Select any player who was drafted in the back half of a DSFL or ISFL draft. Show how that player has outperformed their draft position, or how they will soon do so. You cannot write about your own player.
L’Gazzy Burfict was selected in the tenth round of the season 24 DSFL draft at 77th overall by the London Royals. Around the time of the draft he had a fairly respectable 89 TPE, but it was lower than other available linebackers on the board that went earlier in the draft. Today, Burfict is tied for third most TPE among linebackers with LancedJack, who was selected 8th overall, while following close on the heels of Guy Fields, who was selected 14 overall.
This season, Burfict recorded 139 tackles, making him second only to the Dallas Birddogs’ Richard Leaking. He also tied for most sacks with Tony Yeboah, recording 11 on the season. Burfict also logged a respectable 5 TFLs, forced 2 fumbles, had 1 interception, and 9 pass deflections. The 77th overall pick is more than likely going to make his way onto the awards ballot for linebacker of the year, proving his worth well beyond his DSFL draft position.
Burfict’s work with the London Royals did not go unnoticed, and his draft position in the ISFL draft increased when he was selected in the third round by the Arizona Outlaws. It seems likely that he’ll continue to perform well and exceed everyone’s expectations.
