Quote:9) It’s always important to look forward to the future. Examine your team, and in 400 words or more, talk about how they can improve themselves to get a stab at trophy contention next year. Are you loaded with draft capital for the next draft? Do you have plenty of cap space to sign free agents? Go through the roster and note the different strengths and weaknesses, and how you think those will change over the next few seasons. How should your team adapt?
The New York Silverbacks have just begun their second offseason in their franchise's history. And they enter it in a very prime position to make a considerable playoff push in just their second season. Lining up in the QB position next season for the Silverbacks will be Sam Howitzer who is entering his just sophomore season in the ISFL. The QB is looking to improve on his somewhat below average previous season with the Silverbacks. In terms of yards the QB put up only 3872 yards which slotted him in as the 10th overall QB in that statistic. Though on the positive end he had a relatively good completion percentage of 57% and a pretty average touchdown to interception ratio of 27 to 14. Though the low yardage can be easily explained by the Silverbacks dominant running game who will be certainly looking to repeat their performance in the upcoming season. The team's running game last year was spearheaded by the veteran Ashley Owens who carried the rock for many of the Silverbacks drives. Though in the upcoming season the veteran will almost certainly be sharing carries with free agent signing Captain Rogers. The two running backs will certainly become headaches for every defense that they match up against in the future. Their receiving core is destioned to become an absolute monster of a unit in upcoming season. Tied together by the tight end Leon McDavid, their wide receiver core consists of the trio of young upcoming stars, Jackson Kingston, Sean Snyder, and Harley Fank. The core, barring any free agent moves or trades, is bound to become a dangerous force for upcoming seasons. Moving on to their defense, the keystone of their defense lies with the veteran defensive tackle Bubba Thumper. The rest of their defensive line is home to various other middle of the pack players. Though the rest of their defense is all pretty young overall. The lineup has only just one player with over 5 years experience. Which is both a blessing and a curse as it means that while the players haven't reached their true peaks just yet, they're definitely on that direction. Following that chain of thought, their defense will be tied together for years to come by the young Hank Winchester. Even their special teams is currently in a good place. The Silverbacks managed the grab kicker and punter Dougie Smalls back in the expansion draft, and the kicker and punter is expected to repeat his already pretty great season with the Silverbacks for years to come.
