There is a rule about this, I'm almost certain (or I would have exploited that, too). Back in the early days of DSFL when Palm Beach was a bot team, there was a guy by the name of Steve Fuller who alerted the league to how messed up speed is for QBs. I don't know if the rule got disappeared from the rule book, but there was very much something done to counter that because of how broken the bot guy was.
