This past offseason was probably the biggest one in Jay Cue's career. After finally getting to the playoffs with the Arizona Outlaws, on his first regression season funnily enough (after missing trips to the postseason even with 1400 TPE), he decided to change his play style to try and suit his team a little bit better. After a so called failed experience with mobility, he has now decided, on what is probably going to be his last season as a QB in the league, to face his second regression with some more finesse, and try to manage the game with some cheese speed. Looking at his stats after this adjustment, he is still one of the best QBs in the ISFL, so who knows what can happen? Regression sucks, that is true, but looking at his game last night, nobody can tell that he is finished. Even though the Outlaws lost to the Orange County Otters with a late Alex D field goal, Cue was incredible during the game, finishing with 3 TD passes to 0 Interceptions, with a QBR of nearly 130.
If some expected Cue to lay down and die in Season 26, he proved that that idea might not be right. We will wait for the next chapters to be sure.
