Despite having just three receptions for 61 yards so far this season, and no touchdowns in twenty professional games... Raphael Delacour is on track to potentially line up as WR2 for the Chicago Butchers next season. Hear me out. His development is rapid, arguably the quickest among the other receivers in his draft class -- perhaps only really rivalled Arthur Naught; who is certainly making a larger contribution in Yellowknife, albeit in a receiving corps with significantly less depth than Chicago's -- and despite the difficulties faced in his career so far, there has been no sign of the Baltimore-born receiver wilting under the pressure.
Looking at the rest of the receiving corps in Chicago, O'Leary and Rodriguez are quite clearly in decline, having been in the league for a combined fifteen seasons at this point. Should their decline follow the same kind of trajectory as most players in the ISFL, it's not unreasonable to assume that the Butchers may try to shift one or both of them to a team needing experience in the position in exchange for draft capital. Or they may even decline sufficiently that Delacour might only really be competing with Oberwald -- three years his senior, yet not significantly ahead of him, it must be said -- for snaps opposite Luca Scabbia.
