Overreacting: My favorite pastime. Unfortunately, my player has not met expectations at all this year and is falling behind fast in the race to be one of the better DSFL quarterbacks. Last season, my player had a solid first year where he started out strong but slowed down at the end. He still played well and looked like a possible MVP candidate for the next season. In terms of those expectations, the year has started as a complete disaster. My player is at or near the bottom in almost every metric of passing and it has cost his team dearly. The Ducks have one of the better defenses in the league yet are still only 2-2 as a result of their quarterback play. As a second year player, my player was expecting to come out firing. Instead, he has not shown an ability to stretch the field frequently throwing passes no more than 5-7 yards. He has made his receivers around him more into blockers than pass catchers, and his defense no longer feels like they can rely on him to be the playmaker they deserve. He has turned into a hand off machine which he should as it feeds the best players the ball in times where they need it. This year is over for my player in terms of personal success, but hopefully he doesn’t mess up too bad and affects the team.
