William Lim returned home in Denver, Colorado on Christmas eve, depressed and tired from an away loss. As he was approaching his house, William spotted a styrofoam box on his front porch. 'Weird' he thought. He didn't order anything from the internet lately, no less food that comes on those packages. William carried the package in, hoping that whatever that was in it wasn't rotten.
The package was sent by kyle, a close friend and mentor of William's, who had been helping him a lot both as a player and with his offseason job with the Dallas Birddogs. 'What did Kyle send me?' William thought as he opened the package with anticipation. That anticipation quickly turned to revulsion after he realized just what Kyle sent him as a Christmas present.
A freaking hotdog pie. Kyle sent a cold hotdog pie of all things as a Christmas present. It looked even worse in real life with those smells. Fortunately, the food (if you can call this abomination a food) wasn't rotten. William repressed his gag reflex, and disposed the abomination, hoping that he had a gas mask. It was at that moment he spotted something glistening at the bottom of the offending box.
It was a small statue of Dallas Birddogs logo, made from gold. The engravings in the bottom said 'thank you for being a Birddog- from the team founder'. William was so moved for that precious and thoughtful gift. He even forgot about the pungent smell of hotdog pie as he made a thank you call to kyle. And he made a note on his calendar to make sure that he sends kyle a big gift next Christmas, along with something horrid (like Korean fermented stingrays) to get the revenge for that hotdog pie.
