(S26) - PT 4 - It could be a bowling alley!

The box was wrapped in silky purple material, crossed by a stark white ribbon that led to a top tied into the shape of a fleur-de-lis. It sat on his kitchen table untouched and looking just as it had on his porch several minutes earlier. The craftmanship was outstanding, and Adam took a moment to take a picture of it. Someone took their time with this, and the result was worth that same respect. His wife kissed him on the forehead and smiled as she watched his slowly and gently remove the ribbon without breaking it. An effort that took its own time. Especially for a man for whom slow and gentle were not usual traits in most regards. 

With the ribbon removed and gently placed on the table next to him, Adam took the time to admire the wrapping itself. The purple was broken up by tenny tiny little white fleur-de-lis' all across the paper, hard to see at first glance but impossible to miss once you've spotted it. With the ribbon gone he was able to simply unfold the top of the paper, slow and careful so as not to rip it. Inside the wrap lay a simple white unmarked box with a well sealed lid. 

Adam opened the lid and set it down next to the box before looking inside. Inside lay a card, its writing large and looping and looking like the kind of old script one would see on treaties and laws. Adam picked it up carefully and read. 

"We've been trying to reach you about you car's extended warranty."
