Doy Fieri had decided to take the few days off from the league given to him by the Philadelphia Liberty as a chance to go back home to Minneapolis, MN and see his family. He arrived back home, expecting to only have a couple of days before Christmas to relax, but knew that he would have to get back to the team quickly. When his plane touched down on December 22nd, Minnesota looked nothing like he expected. It was a balmy 35 degrees outside, and nary a snowflake in sight. If it wasn't for the decorations on the houses dotting his parents' neighborhood he would have had no idea what the date was.
Then, on the 23rd, it happened - Minneapolis was hit by a winter storm, leaving a layer of ice underneath about 9 inches of snow. Doy was excited to have a white Christmas, but quickly realized that all of his winter clothes did not fit him anymore, as he no longer was a 310 pound mountain of a man.
Doy was shaken out of his moment of self-pity by a knock at the door. It was a delivery driver. "I have a package for Doy Fieri here." It was a 3 foot by 4 foot wooden box with a card attached. "Doy, I figured you might need this while back in the Midwest. Your pal, Gary."
"What the hell," Doy said to himself as the delivery driver wheeled the box into his parents' living room.
When he finally was able to get it open, Doy laughed heartily to himself. It seemed that his pal @ShnarlyDude had sent him a care package from the family farm. The box contained turnips, potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, a butchered pig, and eight pounds of ground beef. Then, tucked under all of the food, Doy noticed one more little goody - a full bear-skin coat with a note attached: "I am bear-y happy to finally get to play alongside you in Philadelphia. Merry Christmas."
