Written Option: The New Year is fast approaching along with a flashy new sim, a wave of re-creates, and a potentially larger draft class overall. What do you think 2021 is going to look like for the league? Do you think the new sim will dramatically impact player/team performance? Are there any specific players or teams you think will stand out from the rest in the coming months?
Well Happy New Year everyone reading this PT. I have been lucky enough to be able to buy the sim and put sometime in it, in my free time. I like the aesthetics of the sim, so 2021 will definitely look prettier in my opinion when it comes to the streams for the games. It was tough to do testing as I had no baselines for what we were going to do as a whole for the specifics of the players. So, I went with my own made-up base line and plugged in some players that I knew how they would be built. Overall, after a few seasons of sims, I hope the new year brings more consistency overall between players. As a thousand TPE corner back, it is hard to watch three to four hundred TPE corners make more plays than you. Now, one thing that’s down to is less balls thrown your way, but in the new sim it seems that is no longer the case, the high corners are lined up on higher receivers and the quarterbacks want to take the chance. So, I’m hoping we wont see such a disparity between players. The new year should bring lots of questions but overall I think this transition season will be lots of fun for everyone and keep it interesting, and for some who it may have come stale for, I think that will change.
