Its hard to really crack at what the new sim is going to do without having the kind of experience with the new sim that we did with the old sim. One of the obvious things that will change I think is the switching of sacks from the inside so much to the outside. Yes it does appear that the sim team is teasing people being able to sack from the inside but I think that we'll rather see a wholesale switching of Tackles for Loss going to the Defensive tackles and Sacks going to the Defensive ends. I think you'll see a lot of variety at least in the first couple of seasons but the very real observations that people make will result in teams finding the "best" things for players to be and then spread that information around. But saying that I think it'll take a few seasons for that knowledge to go around in any noticeable way. What I don't think it'll do is change the basic meta of the league. As much as I want more 3 Linebacker sets I just don't think that Gm's are going to go for that and stick with the double-A Gap linebacker defense that mike zimmer uses in Minnesota. If you want to see more on that I posted a podcast where I talk a lot about linebackers and whatnot.
