I don't have a horse in the race but there's one big thing you're missing here with the efficiency vs volume argument and it's something that constantly gets brought up.
It is well documented through extensive testing in our sim that increasing volume reduces efficiency. This goes for passer rating, yards per carry, yards per reception, completion percentage, even on defense once you hit a certain amount of tackles, sacks and other stats you get less efficient. The sim literally nerfs your speed once you hit certain thresholds in a game. Over X receptions? Nerfed speed. Over X carries? Nerfed speed. Even more carries? Even more nerfed speed. 100 yards? Run slower. 150? Crawl bitch.
We have constantly fought this back and forth battle with awards for 3+ years now. Someone is going to have better volume, someone else is going to have better efficiency. That's the way this game is coded. Some years voters are falling all over themselves to vote for elite efficiency (looking at you Armstrong). Some years they want all the damn volume (looking at me Cooter). Neither are wrong, we're having fun. Sure Bex's yards per carry weren't ideal, but it's kinda hard to be efficient as a goal line back when you can't run past the endzone and you've handled 34% higher volume than your change of pace back.
