(S2) - PT #2 - Locker Personalization

Every locker in professional football has a small safe built into it. This is for players to store expensive jewelry, wads of cash, and other things of that nature. Unless you're Angus Winchester. Angus Winchester's safe is filled with weapons.

"Sig Sauer P227, full-sized frame, double stack magazine holds 10 rounds of 45 ACP." Winchester describes his pistol as he removes it from the safe, "Here in California you can't have a magazine with a capacity larger than 10 rounds, so obviously you go for the bigger caliber weapon." Obvious to him, maybe, not so obvious to us or the rest of the members of the Orange County Otters. "This one fits great in my hands and conceals well on the hip."

But that isn't all Winchester has with him, as he continues to unload the safe. "This one is my deep carry, fits into a pocket holster." He tells us as he pulls a small pistol out next, "The Ruger LCP holds 6 rounds of .380 and is smaller than my hand, I wouldn't want to use it in a firefight, but it's better than nothing."

It didn't stop there either. "I also keep a revolver in an ankle holster. This is my S&W M686 with a 4" barrel chambered in .357 mag." Winchester smiles as he straps the holster onto his ankle and pulls a boot over it.

"Anything else?" I ask, although I really don't want to know the answer.

"Sure!" He exclaimed, nodding his head. "I've got a 4" folding knife here, a pair of brass knuckles, a can of pepper spray, a few different boxes of ammo, some JHPs, some FMJs, some SJSPs, you get the idea. Ummmm, oh a box of condoms, other kind of protection you know? And my level IIIA kevlar vest."

I was shocked that I missed the bulletproof vest hanging right there in his locker. "Why do you have all of this?" I finally asked Winchester.

"Because he's out of his Goddamn mind!" I turn around to see wide receiver Bradley Westfield standing behind us. "You weigh 350 damn pounds and are probably the strongest guy in the entire state, but you walk around armed like you ready for World War III. You just a crazy damn hillbilly."

I can't say I disagree with Westfield.
