(S27) PT1 - First Impressions

As a rookie my first impressions of the new sim are also my first impressions of the ISFL altogether. I don’t have a lot of frame of reference compared to most veterans. That being said I have no complaints regarding the new sim. Sure there are some graphical oddities or weird decisions but that’s to be expected. Real football can be far weirder than anything I’ve seen in the sim. (flashbacks to that one Colts trick play….). Of course in the DSFL my player has only had one game so it’s a bit early to evaluate how they’re doing. Based on the single game they seemed pretty average so far. The streams are enjoyable, as the predictions give me someone to cheer for until I actually develop favorite teams or rivals. It’d be nice if there was at least a seasonal prediction for DSFL but I understand we can’t have predictions for everything. I don’t think I’ve seen every field yet, but of the ones I remember the New York Silverbacks is by far my favorite. The logo is simple enough, colors make sense, and the field design isn’t overwhelming. As much as I love the Grey Ducks, I’m not sure about making the entire field grey and blue. Others like New Orleans Second Line have a pretty busy logo, which is inherently part of the field design.
