As much as decking out Portland for an Ultimini would be, especially if we are around again, I can't say it would be my preferred destination, if that makes sense. Of course, Calgary could be cool as well for Miller, but let's be real, that is a terrible damn spot to host either the Ultimus or Ultimini.
So, I have decided that if I were to choose where the Ultimini were to be held, it would be in somewhere memorable, incredible, just overall nuts.
Basically, the Ultimini would play on the moon, and the Ultimus would play on Mars. The details definitely still need some ironing out, but imagine. Man made anti-gravity domes to play in, beautiful landscape, no risk of COVID because a bubble that supplies oxygen is one that the players need to stay in. There also would not be anyone else there, so I see it as nothing but good.
This would also serve as an insanely cool publicity stunt, I mean, football on the moon? Let alone for a league? Playoffs? Finals? That'll grab the attention of anybody, whether they give a damn about football or not. The only downfall would be is that for centuries the game will be looked at under a microscope, but I still see that as only a good thing. It means it'll be remembered. I think this is something the ISFL/DSFL need to seriously consider for this upcoming Ultimus/Ultimini games.
