I'm a kicker or punter, whatever you call it. When I think about potential award receivers my attention naturally turns to players in my own position. Sam Sidekick of Chicago is one, Sam has FG% of 100 after 11 games, Sam is the only kicker with such a magnificent total. If Sidekick is able to keep that up for the rest of the season he should be up in the discussions.
The second player is McDairmid from San Jose, he has the longest kick in the league. Power and distance is the name of the game, I think McDairmid deserves to be in the talks if he is the kicker with the longest kick of the season when the regular season is over.
New York kicker/punter Small has covered the highest amount of yards with his punts, 3132 with 67 punts. Jay-Jaymison of Arizona however has the highest average yard total, 49,3 with 52 punts. Which is more valuable is not for me to decide, but I think both deserve the love and they should be in the talks.
There is still plenty of football left, but strong first half goes a long way in this league, only the best of the best are able to win awards.
