I'm going to talk about my predictions for Quarterback of the Year and Rookie of the Year this season. As far as QBOTY goes, I think Ben Slothisberger is top choice as of now. He's only down a tenth of a point in total QBR to George O'Donnell and about three percent on his completion percentage, but he leads the league in yardage, is second in touchdown passes, and has the lowest number of interceptions. It helps that he plays for the New Orleans Second Line who have been punching above their perceived weight class this season.
As far as the Rookie of the Year award, I know I'm going to jinx the hell out of myself, but I think I'm sitting in a pretty nice spot. There aren't any particularly impressive rookies in any other offensive positions, and I think I'm head and shoulders above Jackie Daytona right now. My touchdown to interception ratio is much better than his and so is my completion percentage, but he has thrown for close to 400 more yards than me. I'm not super worried about the yardage because I don't think that really tips the scales in his favor, but what would tip them towards him is if I just jinxed myself and I suck for the rest of the season.
