Chika Fujiwara played the first half of this season on the Baltimore Hawks whose record speaks to the struggles they have been having. A glimpse at ISFL News would show there has been some front office shake-ups and struggles that paint a picture as to why Fujiwara has also struggled. Meanwhile, halfway across the world in Hawaii, Luke Skywalker has been having the season of a lifetime, but having "checked out" last season, was not going to be the quarterback of the future. Given that Chika and Luke have similar builds, it was a no-brainer for Honolulu to make a trade to try and make a playoff run during this surprising season. Although Chika lost the first game on her new team, we can chalk that up to growing pains. Hopefully, Honolulu's coaching staff can transfer Luke's success to Chika to finish off the season strong.
While Chika likely will not be able to make a turnaround to get offensive player of the year or quarterback of the year, Honolulu hopes to at least put her in position for a performance of the year award since we have half a season to do it! Finally, it would be cool if she could be recognized for the comeback performance that we are all hoping that she gets!
