Being on the Butchers, it is only fair that I choose a Butcher to win an award, and be completely biased about it. I believe that Osiris Firestorm-Fjord really has a chance at cornerback of the year award. Osiris has been on the Butchers since S21, and was a part of the infamous 1-13 squad as well. He is the face of Chicago's defense, and has been a solid cornerback for his entire career. Coming into this season, he was always near the top of the pack in cornerback stats, but this season he is at the top with only two corners with more interceptions than him. The impact of his turnovers is what really gives him my vote for the award though, it seems like whenever the opponent is driving on an important drive, Osiris comes up with a massive interception or forced fumble. In one of the most recent games we had on the road against the Yeti, the Yeti were starting to drive down the field to attempt to tie up the game with under 5 minutes to play, before Caliban threw an ill advised ball straight into the hands of Osiris. Winning that game on the road against a division rival was a huge boost not only to our record and playoff claim, but to the team in general, and it is all thanks to our number one corner for the last 6 seasons.
