I've said it once and I'll say it before, the biggest hurdle to expansion is ensuring we have enough new players coming in each season to replace ones that are lost. Our last r/NFL class (that usually holds us over for 2 or more seasons) wasn't able to do that. Expand beyond what we can maintain and we have to contract some teams. Which is near the top of the list of bad things that could happen to the league.

Love the deep dive on this stuff though.
