I'd be interested to know who the other 95% were and more specifically, how they ended up getting a vote. That 95% must be Big Space.

This is a really well thought out article, and I think you pretty clearly have a natural ability to explain cool complex science-y things like this to big ol' dumb dumbs like me. Really glad you posted this, I feel like I learned a lot and now have a greater interest/appreciation for the subject

I think it was only 5% of the IAU that voted on the ballot, but I might be wrong about that. Also I appreciate it!
