(S2) - Weekend PT #4 - Drama!

While not super league famous, the Ardie Savea VS Darlane Farlane rivalry is very much an active drama, although it's more like a brotherly rivalry since there aren't any hard feelings between the two backs. Before Season 2, the two backs went back and forth over who would be the best rookie running back at the start of the season, both doing well in the preseason while running in the same backfield. Then, at the start of Season 2, they made a bet of $1,000,000 each, quite a heft number, that would be awarded to whoever has more rushing yards at the end of the season. So far, Farlane is ahead - and not just in the bet - but ahead of all running backs. After 4 weeks, Farlane in the league's lead rusher with 390 yards on 108 carries, with 2 rushing touchdowns. A really great start for the rookie, and shows promise for his future. Savea, on the other hand, now sits at 291 yards on 88 carries, with 1 rushing TD. He's 100 yards behind, but it's still fairly early in the season and that could change in one or two games easily. It'll be fun to watch the rushing match up continue to play out.
