The period after season one was a generally uneventful time. The Outlaws had won the Ultimus cup against the Yeti through their dominating defense, the expansion draft had been announced, and teams qere gearing up for season 2. Scouting was happenning as teams prepared to hope to acquire a great pick in the draft. Everything was calm, until Clegane made his statement. Gregory Clegane, offensive lineman, announced he would not participate in the season 2 games if he was drafted by any team except the Otters. This caused a lot of controversy, because Clegane was a top offensive lineman in the draft but the Otters didn't pick until number 6. It also led to problems regarding potential teams becoming stacked. If all the top players in the draft stated they'd only sign for one team, this would unfairly stack that team. If a drafted player doesn't sign a contract, he can re enter the draft in the next season. The disadvantage for the player is they may not complete most point tasks and won't get much better while simultaneously losing a season of their career and getting closer to the point of regression. Overall, the Clegane situation ended up abruptly dying as Clegane was picked number six by the Otters.
