Here are my issues.
We have auditors whose job involves presenting this exact kind of information in player audits. There's was no need for this kind of mass announcement. This is a meeting that could've been an email.
If HO is set on presenting it insteado f going through the channels we set up for exactly this kind of thing, doing so without presenting the accompanying info is a terrible plan. If the info isn't ready, then this should have waited until it was. If the info is ready, it should be presented along with the claims. It's how we do things in any punishment, which this has now become based on the decision to present it tho way. It's just that simple. As an addendum, if anyone at all thinks the accompanying info should not be made public large scale in the same level of openness as this list, that person should not be making decisions for this league. I hope no one suggested that.
Firing someone over an issue that predates their existance in the league is not inspiring of confidence unless there were other issues. If there were, presenting it this way was a very bad choice. It looks like Kyamprac is being scapegoated and blamed for a minor but persistent issue that has gone on so long that it's systemic. So the system itself pointing the finger of blame her way just doesn't feel like it's accomplished anything but answering ng an expected bloodlust. I've had to fire department heads in this league before and this doesn't feel like it matches the standard I'd expect for that level of decision. If someone is getting removed for this, then it should invoke all who had authority and missed it, not just one. As of yet I see no HO members stepping down so Im back to scapegoat. I know that I jtieks past I have been frustrated by the incredibly laxity of going after actual cheaters and logic that involves saying things like "nobody gets convicted on circumstantial evidence (which is wildly untrue) and "might be good enough for the law but it's it good enough for us".....but this feelsl Ike it's too far the other direction. This is very minor to have caused this result. This simply feels like it could have been a teaching moment.
Finally, on a personal note, there is a level of self seriousness here and as of late that worries me greatly. This league is not professional. It is not overly serious. It should not be artificially forced into being those things either. If your thought process in decisions involves us needing to look or be professional, then you have lost the plot. You have lost what this league is about. And that worries me. There's a point where an overbearing authoritarian mindset is going to harm this league. And I worry we're heading in that direction.
I have hopes that HO will come to their senses in how they handled this and the mindset that caused them to go about it this way and seek to do better in the future. Preferably before we lose more people than what I've heard about personally. Whom I don't believe we would've lost if this had simply been handled through the proper existing channels.
I'm incredibly disappointed in my league today and in people whom I like and respect a great deal.
