I know the prompt says to write about your last draft experience, but both of my mine were fantastic honestly. Coming into the league, London was the first team to reach out to me and get me in their locker room. From that point forward, I was hooked. Everyone in London was so active and I knew I would be lucky to get drafted by them. The wait between joining and the draft was an agonizing one, however. Fortunately, all of my fellow S25 rookies in the London locker room kept me active and engaged. When the DSFL draft rolled around I was stoked to go 5th overall, but especially stoked to go to London. Several seasons later, I am one of the co-GM's for the Royals and loving (almost) every minute of it.
My ISFL draft was a similar story. There were a multitude of teams I wanted to go to, mainly due to connections from people in London; Colorado, Sarasota, Arizona, Chicago, and others. Fortunately, my former London Royals GM Sylphreni was now positioned at the head of the Yeti front office. He wanted me so badly that Colorado traded up to get me at 5, and once again it was a match made in heaven. The Colorado locker room has been fantastic and I love the community there. Fun fact about my ISFL draft: I actually couldn't watch it live. I got home late and stayed up watching the entire thing. I was dead tired the next day but being able to experience that was worth it.
