To be honest, it's a little mundane to see every other player shouting from the top of the world that they're the best of the best and that of course they deserve an earth shattering contract deal. You know what, though, it works for some of them, so I can't sit here and pretend I don't understand why. We all want to be big names with bigger banks, but I think it's important to remember that there are merits to being a quiet player, too. What about the relief it brings your GM to know that they drafted someone who will let their work speak for them, or the surprise that'll fall across people's faces when you're the one leading the league in touchdowns and you know that you're a big name because of talent and work, not because you're a reality TV star.
