The fire salamander is unique amongst all the ISFL mascots as it is the only amphibian, yes amphibian not a reptile. What makes it most special location while is the fact it is located solely in Europe unlike any of the other mascots. This calls back to our team’s foreign locale. Much like most salamanders it also secretes a powerful toxin from its skin for defense. Much like how our team secretes a group of players to smother the other team on defense. Going into the more general aspects of a salamander unique amongst other mascots is the fact they come in all different shapes, sizes and colors around the world. From the tiny torrent salamanders to the giant salamanders of Asia with the powerful fire salamander in between, salamanders are a special species. But salamanders are not just biologically special but also mythical. There have been myths spread about them since the days of ancient rome. Mostly related to fire and their ability to resist it, hmm this is starting to sound familiar. There was even myth that they were created from flame and could regenerate limbs. All of this is to say that much like our team this season fire salamanders in real life are also legendary.
