Looking back at the season 26 ISFL draft, I was selected 25th overall by the Chicago Butchers. My Portland Pythons teammate Lebron James was take a spot ahead of me by the Sarasota Sailfish, but I wonder what things would have looked like if we switched places, with me going to Sarasota and Lebron going to Chicago. Evan Jones would be a really nice rotational piece on Sarasota right now, being able to fill in at nickel back or safety depending on the formations. Players like Jones are nice to have on your team as rotational depth. With star safety Clemente starting to get up there in age, having a well seasoned replacement would lead to a seamless transition with no drop off in play would be critical for a championship caliber defense. James on the other hand would have been the heir apparent to George O'Donnell, taking over as the starting QB as early as next season. The Butchers current QB is getting up there in age, and having a replacement for him is going to be important in this alternate timeline. James would be hitting his peak in the same window as future offensive studs Hayes and Hunt, giving them plenty of time to develop chemistry.
