Mac Griddles' old high school contacting him in the middle of the season to coach for one game was unexpected but he thought it sounded fun so he agreed in hopes that he might even get offered the job full time. Now Mac has no coaching experience other than playing Madden for hours on end and yelling at college football games about what he would do different so this was a bit of an adjustment for him. At first he actually tried pretty hard to come up with a good game plan but ultimately decided that it was just too much work so he printed out sheets from the Georgia Teach playbook on an NCAA game and installed the triple option for the week. Practice was hard and took some adjusting for these young players as they were used to throwing the ball up to 40 times per game but Mac thinks the triple option is awesome and the players really can't do much to stop him. As for the defense he actually did a halfway decent job trying to plan for the opposing teams offense and the team and the rest of the coaching staff feel confident about it. He refused to practice special teams all week except for returns and onside kicks, Mac doesn't believe in punting, kicking field goals or just kicking an extra point, he figures why kick when we can just go for it. Macs team won 77-0 and the school is still deciding if he should get a full contract or not.
